Auto-Save Mode
Configure automatic image saving in ChatGPT Studio.
ChatGPT Studio can automatically save every image and video generated during your session without any manual intervention.
How Auto-Save Works
When enabled, ChatGPT Studio monitors the page for newly generated images. Each time ChatGPT produces an image via DALL-E or Sora, the extension:
- Detects the new image element on the page
- Extracts the image URL and associated prompt
- Sends it to your Opalite cloud library via WebSocket
- Displays a brief confirmation notification
This all happens in the background — you can keep prompting without interruption.
Enabling Auto-Save
Auto-save is enabled by default. To toggle it:
- Open the ChatGPT Studio sidebar (click the extension icon on the page)
- Go to Settings
- Toggle Use Opalite Cloud Save
When Cloud Save is disabled, media is only generated on the page but not sent to your Opalite library.
Save Behavior
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Cloud Save ON | Every generated image is automatically uploaded to Opalite |
| Cloud Save OFF | Media remains on the page only, no cloud upload |
Supported Platforms
ChatGPT Studio activates on:
chatgpt.com— ChatGPT (DALL-E and Sora image generation)
The extension automatically detects when images are generated and captures them regardless of which model (DALL-E or Sora) produced them.
Download Folder
By default, images are organized in your Opalite library by date and source. You can customize the folder structure in your Opalite dashboard under Settings.
